Interactive Jerusalem

Back in the days when Noah was young, text-based adventures were the latest and greatest in computer games. I wrote an adventure based on the modern Old City of Jerusalem which never achieved commercial success, but gave me a good deal of fun both in writing and in playing it.

This is my first attempt at putting it on the web - a rather clumsy method of hundreds of individual pages, and worst of all, no objects to find, nothing you can "GET" or "DROP", no magic wands to wave and produce a silvery bridge (afficionados of Colossal Cave will know what I mean) and no final end.

However with the use of the on-screen map you may find that the "game" helps you become acquainted with Jerusalem and if ever you go out to visit that fascinating city, you can use it as a guide to help you find your way round the twisty little maze of the streets of the Old City.

To move around click on the directions (N, S, E, W, NE, SE, SW, NW) on the left, and don't forget that there is also U, D, I, O (up, down, in and out). Visit the Rockerfeller Museum, the Dome of the Rock, the Wailing Wall, the Garden Tomb, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and many other sites.

Have fun!
