The discovery that there had been a temple of Yahweh at Aswan was surprising enough, but the real signicance of the papyrii connected with the Jewish colony of Yeb lay in their dates. Women, wanting to make sure that their significant others couldn't get out of the marriage, double- or even triple-dated the contracts - and thus enable us to be precise about the reigns of Persian kings.
That, in turn, enables us to use the only date given in the New Testament to confirm the accuracy of an ancient prophecy that foretold the advent of "Messiah the Prince" and thus identify who He must be.
Filmed on location in Egypt and Jerusalem, the two episodes present a convincing argument for recognising Jesus as the Messiah.
