Egypt's Dynasties
The dates given here are based upon standard works of Egyptology and do not necessarily reflect the views of Diggings staff. The revised chronology which is advocated by ourselves and some others requires that the history of Egypt be reduced by about 250 years by the end of the New Kingdom and even longer in the earlier dynasties, with corresponding reductions in the chronology of most other Middle Eastern countries.
